What do I have to do to keep the volume control icon next to the clock in the system tray? Also, sometimes when I leave Windows then start it later, the wav volume is way higher than I left it. What should i do? Thanks

Hi VanHalen! When you say, "What do I have to do to keep the volume control icon next to the clock in the system tray?", I presume that you mean that you have a number of icons in the system tray and you want the sound icon to stay to the immediate right regardless of the other icons being loaded. This is a function of the load order, the order in which the programs, including the volume control is loaded during startup. This is governed by Windows 95, the tasks being performed and when those tasks are completed. As an example, if system monitor runs first and completes right away, it's icon will hit systray first. If the volume control is loaded next in order, that icon will hit the tray next. You can try and shuffle this load order and try that.
As for the volume changes, what type of sound card are you using?
