Question : Disallowing Server.ScriptTimeout
|
|
I'm looking for a way to stop users increasing the default script timeout in their ASP scripts.
Is there any way to stop the use of Server.ScriptTimeout through IIS 6?
Thanks!

The asp page overrides the configuration at IIS level. So you should check the asp code before publishing it in IIS. This is from IIS 6.0 help: "If the script does not finish running by the end of the timeout period, ASP stops the script and writes an event to the Windows event log. You can override this option in an ASP page by using the Server.ScriptTimeout method."
