Question : How do i get hyperlinks to open in a new tab?

Hello,

On my site i use the following to create a hyperlink:
Wikipedia Search

At present when this is clicked it loads up in the same window - how can i get it to load in a new tab, within the same window, while maintaining focus on my site ?

You can see this on my site www.globexposure.net/index.php
Click on the England pushpin marker > any green Arrow marker > any icon

Hi there;

What you can do is use target="_blank" and if the user has set their browser option to open new windows in a new tab instead of window, then it will work for them.

Tabs is realtively new and there is no specific tag to support it yet. It also depends on clients settings open in new window etc..
