Question : Deleting Offline Folders

I have one of my network drive configured to sync to have offline access. It is set to sync at logon and logoff both. One problem is that I can't seem to be able to delete folders when I am offline.

"This operation is supported only when you are connected to the server"

Is this the way windows XP is built? Is there a work around? Thank you.

Not when it comes to deleting. You can delete your local cached offline files, but it will not sync with the server and perform the delete there. You must be connected to the server to delete the server files/folders. This is done in the event that you are synchronizing with a shared network resource. If you deleted the files/folders, it would effect all users.

When you reconnect to the network, any changes that you made to files while working offline are updated to the network. This process is called synchronization. If you and someone else on the network made changes to the same file, you can save your version of the file to the network, keep the other version, or save both.
