Question : Can't drag icons to Quick Launch bar!

Anything I try to drag to Quick Launch gives me the circle with the line through it (can't copy). Why is this happening?

As a somewhat less convenient method, go to your QuickLaunch file folder which is located at C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch.  Put a shortcut into this file folder which contains all of the shortcut icons that will appear on the QuickLaunch portion of the taskbar.

As pointed out by wbeaton, however, the Quick Launch feature was added in Win98.

In the absence of the QuickLaunch feature, you can download one of the numerous floating/hidden/docked toolbar applications that are available.
