Question : Access Reformat Report

I will be creating a report based on results. In the database, the oucome is:

1 - Meets Standard
2 - Does Not Meet Standard

The report will change this wording (to be determined) - perhaps "Meets Standard" will be "you have passed" and "Does Not Meet Standard" will be "will require a consultation meeting."

Please offer the most effective manner to create a report, with the flexibility that table field values can be modified, but based on what the field value is.

Thanks.

Answer : Access Reformat Report

Are you looking to "Change" the wording, or simply, display "Alternate text?

You can definitely create an If,Then,Else statement to do either.

Another option would be to build a "Transalation" table that has all the alternate phrases.

But ultimately you need to show us:
-What is actually in the Source table
-What is displayed in the Report Currently
-What you "want" displayed in the Report.

In other words: Show us what you have, and, *graphically*, show us what you need displayed.
