Question : Need help with Log files in MDBDATA folder  URGENT

I am having an issue with the logs in my MDBDATA folder on my Exchange 2003 SP2 Enterprise Server.  The logs seem to be all 5120KB in size and are growing rapidly.  I am having an issue with disk space and I am down to under 3 gig on this partition and am afraid I am going to run out of space.

I am moving mailboxes to a different drive in preparation to run the eseutil.  I understand that I need to run this in order to get back the "white" space.  My problem now is that these logs are eating up the available disk space and not the edb file

What are my options?  Can I move these logs to a different drive?  I see where I can change where they are stored in the properties of the Storage group.  Can I take the existing logs and move them?  Also is there a way to stop these logs being written until I gain disk space back?

Also how long should they be in the MDBDATA folder?  I have some in there going back to 4/13

HELP please

The logs are only flushed when you last did a backup. If you have logs dating back to 13th then that is when you did a backup last?

How much white space do you have in the database? Unless you are going to gain a significant amount of space back then I wouldn't bother doing an offline defrag.
