Question : DELETE ALL MAIL IN A USERS INBOX THROUGH EXCHANGE, POSSIBLE?
|
|
I need to delete all the mail from one user on exchange. It acts as a type of forwarder with a program i am using, and what it does is basically copies ALL the messages sent between all of my other users on excahnge, to its inbox. so right now there are 150,000,000 messages in its inbox!!! does anyone know a quick way to delete this users mailbox? i cant imagine anything being "quick" but it freezes everything up when i try to delete anything from webmail, or if i set up the mailbox in outlook on my exh server.

of course you can, it's pretty easy:
go to exchange System Manager
under administrative groups, open your domain and the SERVERS open your exchange server and select the FIRST STORAGE GROUP Select the MAILBOX STORE THEN GO TO MAILBOXES
Locate the corresponding Mailbox on this list and Right click on it
Under Exchange Tasks, select delete Mailbox
the mailbox and all its messages will be deleted
now if you want you can right click on the mailbox again and select purge to permamently delete everything.
If you need to continue using this mailbox you are going to have to create it again
good luck
