I notice my programs menu selection for "system restoral/backup" is missing. It used to be there and work. I looked under programs - accessories-system tools but it is not there. If I go to my computer-properties-system restoral, " turn off system restoral is NOT checked (enabled). If I go to services, under admin. tools it shows the service as auto started. It appers that the service is running in the background but it is not showing up as a menu option under system tools so I have no clean way to do a backup or a restoral?
I tried reloading the service by going to C:\windows\inf & right clicking on install however that process fails also. It asks me to insert my XP cd, starts the transfer then gives me a copy error saying setup "cannot copy the file srclient.dl_". Tthe XP CD is not visibly dirty or damaged as it has always been stored in a plastic holder and handled carefully.
Any suggestions as to how I can get system restoral back on my programs menu under system tools would be appreciated?
