Question : Windows XP: Compressed (zipped) Folders
I have a user who is trying to use zipped folders from the 'Send to' menu when right-clicking in Explorer or from the Desktop when Right-clicking and choosing 'New'.
The problem;
1. Initially 'Compressed (zipped) Folders' is not on her right click menu, so I add it. (Either copying from another profile or typing 'rundll32 zipfldr.dll,RegisterSendto
' into the Run dialog)
2. I then choose Send to | Compressed (zipped) Folders. I get a dialog box as attached.
3. I click 'Yes' and the folder is created, but 'Compressed (zipped) Folders' disappears from the Send to Menu.
4. 'Compressed (zipped) Folders' does not appear on the Desktop context menu when Right-clicking and choosing 'New'.
Any ideas? Gratefully received.
