Question : Windows Repair in Windows Vista
Windows XP home or Pro have a repair function in setup that lets you repair an OS that might have registry issues, etc. Does Windows Vista have the same functions? All i can see, are options that allow you to repair "startup issues" or load, using a restore point. Any ideas? Thanks, Brandon

Back to the original question:
Vista does not have a Recovery Console nor the capability for a Repair install like XP and W2K. Link below has a decent writeup about Vista repair options. As you will see, they are limited in comparison to XP. Time will tell regarding their effectiveness. I haven't had to repair a Vista install yet, but surely will in the future. http://vistasupport.mvps.org/windows_vista_repair_options.htm
