Question : Entity Relationship model tools

Hello,

I need to create an Entity Relation Model out of existing database.  Can anybody suggest a free or trial tool that can help me to do that.    I downloaded bunch of tools but the only thing they do is help you to create Entity Relationship Model from scratch, but I need the tool that can generate it from existing database.  

Any help or suggestion will be greately appreciated

If all you are interested in is the diagram, I would recommend going PDF.  HTML is Bud Tugly :-)

You can get a copy of CutePDF for free and install it.  It works like the Adobe Acrobat Printer.  You print the diagram to the CutePDF printer and it generates a PDF file for you.  You can also set the paper size quite large if you need to.  I default to Tabloid (11x17) so I can actually read the darn things.

If you actually want people to be able to look at the details in the data model, you can download a copy of PowerDesigner Viewer for free.  That way folks that do not have full PowerDesigner installed can still get into the data dictionary.  The link below takes you to the download.
