Question : Messages disappearing or not appearing at all in outlook 2007 in SBS 2003R2 and Exchange 2003 environment.

I'm running a SBS2003 R2 server with service pack 2 and exchange 2003 all clients are running Vista Business or XP pro with office 2007. After a number of complaints from users about not receiving mail I have started tracking messages in exchange these messages that are reported as not being received are shown to be delivered to my "store" but when I search for them in outlook they are not there. We are not running any antivirus on the clients that look at outlook, we use Symantec Endpoint and that feature has been disabled. I have tried the following to resolve the issue: I have deleted all rules in outlook, I have also deleted my profile and recreated it, and this was done based upon the comments from the following question http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Email/Email_Clients/Q_22524821.html#a20323961. IâÃÂÃÂm not sure if these steps have fixed my problem, I preformed them last night and have not at this point seen any messages delivered to the store that do not appear in outlook; however the original missing messages still have not appeared in outlook. Is there any way to force these messages to be delivered to outlook? I know of at least 3 users that are experiencing this problem and I worry that it could be wide spread but without a user knowing that they are missing mail they obviously canâÃÂÃÂt tell me.

Then you can try to restore the backup on a virtual server and extract the e-mails using exmerge.
