Question : Kapersky AV Rescue Disc
Hi guys,
I have a problem with a laptop that has had a major virus attack. I have managed to get the system back up and working to a degree using the windows recovery console.
I have now created a rescue disc using Kapersky AV 6.0 for Workstations. The disc was created on a different machine to the one that is infected and it seems to be complete and correct. The opperating systems on both machines is XP Pro.
The problem is that when I try and run the rescue disc in the laptop it says that it cannot detect a bootable CD. However, if I put an XP disc in it will detect that and boot fine.
Any ideas why it is not seeing the rescue disc as a valid autoboot disc?
I have checked the disc and it contains the required Autorun file which points to Programs\nu2menu\nu2menu.e
