Question : enable domain users to take off proxy settings in IE7

we run windows xp SP2 with the latest patches we now have an issue with IE7 where a domain user cannot uncheck proxy settings when they require to bypass our proxy. i have unchecked make proxy settings per computer in our GPO which seems to make a diffrence if you are a domain admin but no diffrence for domain users. i have also disabled the "disable changing of proxy settings" which doesnt seem to do anything ( it shouldnt as it wasnt configured before).

so in a nut shell i would like to be able to login as a domain user and have the option to take of the gpo proxy settings when required.

Answer : enable domain users to take off proxy settings in IE7

Check your ADM files, make sure you are using the ADM files for IE7.
Also check your GPO's, and that Domain Users or Authenicated users are being applied too.
And not just domain admins.
