Question : Hungapp everytime I try to download a file in IE6 or 7

I am having an issue with a computer and internet explorer. Basically you get a the following errors everytime you want to download a file off the internet. Everything else seems to work fine.

Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
 AND
Fault bucket 724398357.

I was having the same issue with IE7 so uninstalled and tried IE6. Same issue.
Full Virus scan and clean.
Full Malwarebytes Spyware scan and clean.
I have also reset all IE settings to standard, removed temp files, turned off all addons etc but still crashing.

Firefox however works fine. I had to download this to another computer on the network and run the file from a share and it works fine, but wanted to get IE to work.

The computer is only a few months old E8400, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD running XP Pro SP3

Have tried to do some searching online but havent really been able to find anything.

Try doing a repair install of Internet Explorer:
