get hitmanpro it is a free tool to check your pc, once you install it and click on hitmanpro it will do the whole check/cleaning process on its own and give you an overview of its finding at the end.

check your eventviewer->eventvwr in the run... you can check there for application events and get an event ID which can give you more information
