Question : lots of messages getting stored in the incoming queue directory var/spool/mqueue.in
|
|
I have redhat linux working as mail server sendmail mail as a MTA with MailScanner but now a days lot's and lot's of messages getting stored in the incoming queue directory /var/spool/mqueue.in
1. and think due to this lots of messages in the var/spool/mqueue.in ,mails reaching to the users inbox is getting too much of delayed
2. sendmail is wasting more time to check again and again on this undeliverd messages in the var/spool/mqueue.in due to this sendmail or MailScanner not able to address the recent messages
please tell me how to make this incoming Queue Directory messages processed fast and if undelivered messages stays for more than a day then the queue directory should be cleard with such messages , please help me to config the above in the MailScan.conf .

It should be 192.168.1 RELAY instead of 192.168.1.0 RELAY but I think it will still work the way you have put it.
It is the server called scriptacomsolutions.com which is saying relaying denied. Doing a DNS lookup on scriptacomsolutions.com there are no MX entries defined so sendmail is failing back to trying to send it to the IP address directly. Basically its a problem their end not yours. They might have mistakenly deleted the MX entries from their DNS.
