Question : Whats disable NVRAM/ESCD updates?

In System device manager under plug and play BIOS properties
there is a switch to disable NVRAM/ESCD updates.  What is it
and how do I use it?  Also how is it related to startup
message that ESCD is being updated?

Whn plug and play hardwarde is removed/added the BIOS normally writes this info in the registers (the ESCD). you can disable this if you encounter problems. but normally it should be left on.
