Question : decompressing files that are in RAR format

I just downloaded a program file from the internet, and it was in RAR format. I also downloaded UNRAR from the same page, and it seems to be working fine, but I can't figure out how to unRAR the files. Is the .EXE file also in RAR format, because there isn't an executable file to go with it. Are there any other steps that I need to take after decompressing the files?

My OS is Windows 95, with MS-DOS v6.0

Answer : decompressing files that are in RAR format

well, let's make two points...
1) unrar is a dos command line tool, if i remember that correctly, it's unrar x (maybe the x is an e, i am not sure about that) in the DOS Prompt
2) easier way is WinRAR, execute WinRAR95.exe and use that explorer type interface of the program to navigate to the RAR file, doubleclick the RAR file, select every file in it (or only the ones you want to decompress) and click one of the decompression buttons in the taskbar, one button decompresses the files you've chosen in the same dir as the rar (i think it is the one with the straight arrow going away from the pile of books) and the other one to a directory of your choice.

Hope that'll help !
Greetings
