Question : Active Sync SSL
I have an Exchange 2007 with Windows Mobile 6 phones that I want to connect. I am trying to do this with SSL, it is not working. I have read numerous articles about certificates; using self SSL, using Go Daddy, and using Verisign and I am confused on what needs to be done. From what I can gather is I need to export a certifcate from IIS, submit it to Go Daddy, Go Daddy authorizes the certificate, then I install the certificate on the phone. If anyone could give me a step by step to get SSL working on these Windows Mobile 6 phones that would be great. One person has an iPhone and I had it up and running in 5 minutes no problem! It seemed to accept the certificate by means of a prompt.
Answer : Active Sync SSL
I have the full process outlined on my blog:
