Question : Vista Stalling

I recently upgraded to Vista Buisness from XP Pro.  I like it, but I find it stalling a lot.  For example, the mouse will freeze and if I am listen to music the sound will skip.  Sometime (rarley) I get the blue screen telling me that it will shut down.

I am thinking that this may be because I upgraded from XP and it was not a clean install.  The OS is on raid drives, but I remeber Vista clearly seeing those.

Answer : Vista Stalling

You could try going to   update.microsoft.com and let it scan for hardware updates that you might need (including drivers) - you might have to set up some options on that site first - otherwise Just download the drivers from the manufacturers websites (ie Creative, nVidia, Asus, etc) and then install them one by one. If on of the drivers asks for s restart - do the restart (even if you have to do it 5 times) - this can prevent BSOD's and other problems in the future.
