Question : Blue Screen of Death - No idea why

I have a custom build PC that is crashing frequently.  The motherboard is an ASUS Striker and I have an Nvideo gforce 8800 GTX video card.  I use this PC for everything (internet browsing, gaming, etc..)

Scenario 1:  When the computer is operating, it works well, but then out of nowhere, the screen will flash blue with white letters and then will reboot automatically.

Scenario 2:  The computer will be either idle or downloading something and the computer will get a blue screen of death.  See attached image.

I have no idea what is causing this.  Hardware?  Software?  How can I tell?  Is there some tool out there that can locate the issue?

Answer : Blue Screen of Death - No idea why

You have an IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL message at the top, which is typically a driver incompatability or a hardware problem. Downloading something suggests an ethernet NIC problem. You need to start in Safe Mode without networking and see if you still get the BSOD. If not, try updating the network drivers. If you still do, look at your audio and video drivers. It is a process of elimination.
