Question : root file system filling up daily - AIX 5.3 - no culprit file(s) found

The root filesystem on my AIX 5.3 RS/6000 keeps filing up.  I keep expanding it (it's now at 1.5 GB), but no matter how much I expand it the next day a 'df' will show it at 100%.  I've been using the command "find / -mtime 1 -ls" and "find / -ctime 1 -ls" to try to find the file or files that are being written, but with no luck.  I expanded it by 500MB yesterday and today it is again full.  Is there something that is invisibly being written to the disk?

Answer : root file system filling up daily - AIX 5.3 - no culprit file(s) found

Hi
We need to check the following.
1. Tape drive functionality.
2. Physical connectivity between drive and system
3. device status in ODM
If nothing works sometimes if you reboot the server it will get detected  and configured fine .  ( it was happened to in NIC card issue)
