Question : Norton Ghost v14 and application support

Does Ghost 14 require any support from applications to work properly?  I'm proposing Ghost for a customer's backup solution.  I want to understand how Ghost works with live data so that I can be confident of its ability to restore data with integrity.  Is there any documentation that explains the process in detail?

That's the ultimate test.

However (if you feel comfortable with this) there are a few shortcuts:

1. When creating your backup images, be sure to check the "verify backup" option.  That verifies the backup file structure after the backup.
2. Do a "minor" test restore.  Delete one of your documents (or rename it) and then use the Ghost Explorer to browse and restore a single file or folder.

Of course restoring onto a new blank unformatted hard drive is the utlimate test.
