Question : unknown exception EBAB001A occurs when trying to backup a drive with Norton Ghost 9.0

I have an IDE hard drive I need to create an image of.

I plug it in my WinXP Pro workstation, fire up Norton Ghost 9.0, and... within 20-30 seconds I get the error message.

Error EBAB001A: an unknown exception has occurred (0xEBAB001A)

Symantec tech support (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/powerquest.nsf/643c9edb8e8f93b788256ee00056a108/0961ae5f28be4f1788256e75007cd05b?OpenDocument) did not seem to help.

There is plenty of room on the target drive. The source drive reads fine (I can copy individual files from it).

How can this exception be avoided.

Answer : unknown exception EBAB001A occurs when trying to backup a drive with Norton Ghost 9.0

From what I am seeing is 9.0 is having this issue.

Some say upgrade to 14, others say it may be a hardware issue.

Let's see if someone else chimes in.
