Question : Printing to a a Network Printer when the Cisco VPN Client is Connected
Hi there
I have a user who wants to print to a LAN printer when he is connected to the VPN client.
Basically in order for that user to work on specific accounting software he needs to be connected to a server outside the country using the VPN client version 4.0.3 (D).
When the user connects the secure tunnel isolates the user from the local network.
I have assigned a static IP address to the user LAN connection as follows
IP Address: 192.168.1.92
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.1.3
DNS 192.168.1.10
DNS 192.168.1.2
The Cisco VPN connection settings are as follows
IP Address: 192.168.2.25
Mask: 255.255.255.0
DG 192.168.2.25
I thought adding a static route on a machine when the Cisco VPN client is connected as follows
Route add 192.168.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.92 (LAN Interface IP)
But still no luck
Is there anyway of enabling the user to print without having to install a local printer to his machine?
Thanks

The server side needs to be configured to allow local lan access OR allow split tunneling.
