Question : How Do You Create Private Posts in Wordpress, or Hide Posts Until Logged in to Wordpress Site?

I am developing a Wordpress site for a business. It needs to have a public face that shows static pages, but have a login which would lead registered users into its blog where posts would then become visible. What settings or code do I need to use in Wordpress 2.3.1 to do this (if it can be accomplished at all).
