Question : Free WiFi monitoring Software
Hi All,
I have recently setup a free WiFi network for our customers which is live and running now. The setup is s below
ADSL -->Checkpoint Safe@Office --> Cisco 2950 Switch --> 7 Cisco Aironet 1100 AP's
Now that it is up and running OK I want to be able to sample the bandwidth usage and check what people are doing etc to make sure that its not being abused by onsite suppliers etc.
The checkpoint Safe@Office can provide a bandwidth snapshot but it doesnt export very well and you can also see what connections are being made at a certain time but it only shows the IP address rather than the website address. These are the types of things my boss would like to see.
Ideally I would like a free application which I could install on my laptop, connect to the network and then check the bandwidth at that moment and export to a graph and take a snapshot of the last 100 sites visited etc etc.
I would prefer this to run on my laptop rather than have to have a PC on the WiFi network acting as a proxy but if its not possible then obviously I will have to consider that too.
Any help is greatly apreciated.
Answer : Free WiFi monitoring Software
Checkpoint support these features (maybe youo need an additional licence to enable this feature). I think is the best solution to watch everything, centralized , in checkpoint
