Question : Intermittent Incoming Mail Problems - POP3

I am running Apple Mail Version 3.6 and connect to WebCentral who host our mail accounts.  I intermittently, but very regularly (at least a dozen times eah day) receive the message that I have an incorrect password and that it has been rejected by the server.  And then, in a few minutes, the whole thing goes away, I connect successfully and the incoming emails come down.

The password is clearly correct as the problem rights itself. I only have this problem with the WebCentral mail accounts and not with my Bigpond or .Mac accounts.

See the error message in the attached image file.

Can you please help - this is driving me nuts.

I am using port 110, SSL is turned off, and the authentication setting is "Authenticated POP (APOP)"

The problem is due to your mail provider not responding quickly to Apple Mail.
The only suggestion is to reduce the frequency of email checks or contact your provider as the problem does not lie with Apple Mail.
