Question : RCMD service on Server 2003
|
|
Greetings:
Our backup server is still running Server 2000. We are running several *.CMD commands on several servers to BCP SQL data (in addtion to 'normal' backups). We recently upgraded one of the servers to Windows Server 2003 and we're trying to get the RCMD command to work on that server so we can BCP the data.
Is there a way to use the plain, vanilla RCMD to run a simple *.CMD file on a 2003 server from a 2000 server?

I have never used RCMD on Windows server, I use PSEXEC and it works really well. It is free from SysInternals (Microsoft recently purchased). It can be downloaded from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx .... This site also includes instructions on how to use PSEXEC
