Question : Problem with TS Services and Printers

Users loose their locally connected printers when they log on to the server, preventing them from being able to print locally from application on the remote server.

Solution is usually a)resetting ts session using terminal manager from server, b) deleting and reinstalling printer on local machine, c) temporarily changing the default printer.

Is there a third party product for mapping local printers?...or fixing this issue?

Answer : Problem with TS Services and Printers

Check out the following program its a command line executable. I recommend adding this to your login script per user via AD Users and Computers. You can change the Bat file i sysol or just search SBS_LOGIN_SCRIPT.BAT.

defprint.exe /d Port_Name  ex. IP_1.1.1.22
rename this extention on the attachment to exe and you can use it. If you don't want to use this goto google and type defprint.exe
