Question : iSeries Access for Windows won't restart after closing it unless I manually kill its processes

Hi Experts,

I am having a problem with IBM iSeries Access for Windows (Workstation) version 5.5, whenever I exit out of the program (x out, or file/close) it leaves a process running called PCSWS.EXE and PCSCM.EXE which I then have to manually close using task manager in order to launch the application again,

This application is being used by approximately 10 users via Terminal Services on a Server 2003 Std. Edition Server, each user is using a different session, with a link on their desktop, no matter which user I use (administrator or basic) I always have to manually kill the process in order to launch the program again.

If anything else, I would at least like to write a script that launches the session, and then upon closing the session, kills the processes.

I hope this is possible, all of your input will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

There is no version iSeries Access 5.5 , maybe you are refered to 5250 emulator version included on iSeries Access for Windows V5R2.
Check iSeries Access version at Control Panel -> iSeries Access Properties. It's important that you're applying the lasted service pack SI23978.

Dowload SI23978.EXE and install it from IBM FTP server
