Question : incompatible software IDISGINA.DLL when trying to use RDP ??
|
|
Hello Experts,
I was busily fixing some workstations after a successful EE query, when I tried to remote into a PC and got this message;
You cannot initiate a Remote Desktop Connection because the Windows logon software on the remote computer has been replaced by incompatible software IDISGINA.DLL To correct this problem, please have the administrator of the remote computer contact the program vendor for a version that is compatible with Windows.
As the administrator in question, this is news to me. In fact, the PC in question was only installed about a week or two ago, and the few programs that have been installed are also installed on other workstations, at least one of which I am remotely connected to as we speak.
I was also a bit disturbed by the fact that every search engine I tried to find info about this on returned ZERO results. Surely I can't be the only person on the planet with this problem?
Any ideas?

have a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300470 if need be you can see if this file exists on any other computers, if so then get a copy and replace it on the faulty computer, then you may need to regserv it. if it doesnt exist on any of the others it may be tied to a hardware driver. Dare i mention Virus.....
you may also try doing a system restore to a previous date when it did work
