Question : Does converting an NTFS drive to FAT32 drive require reformatting?

I have Norton PartitionMagic 8.0. If I use it to convert a NTFS drive to FAT32, does it wipe out all my data, or does it keep the data and simply change to FAT32? Do I have any risk of losing data if I do this, or does it warn me if something will go wrong, and undo the changes made if something goes wrong?

Answer : Does converting an NTFS drive to FAT32 drive require reformatting?

Any time you mess around with partitions you run the risk of losing data.  Partition magic or something else.  If Partition magic DETECTS a problem, it should notify you.  If it doesn't, then it WON'T notify you and if there is a problem, then yes, your data gets corrupt.

The way the product is SUPPOSED to work, it should NOT wipe out all your data - You can do that yourself and convert to FAT32 without using it.

Any reason you're trying to go back to a largely inferior file system?
