Question : virus protection won't up date and home is slow loading

I have a dell dimension with xp home  with a cable modem to a wireless router this problem just popped up recently trend virus protection can't find the server to update itself and my home page is Yahoo.com it takes forever load  sometimes it just hangs  however if I type another address in the bar such as google
or cnn it goes to the sight right away I've uninstalled trend ran spybot with all the new updates found a
couple of tracking cookies  can somebody point me in the direction to fix this very annoying problem
also my email outlook express works normally

Hi Ineilson,
I recommand that you to uninstall any unwanted software application,get a good registery cleaner such as
Registry First Aid and do the required cleanining,forget about Trend micro ,install instead symantec corporate client or Norton 2007,also update your XP with latest updates including IE7.
