Question : Flex Log Buffer Overflow

anyone of you who has encountered this? (found it in the web server logs, am using iPlanet)

my scenario:
we have three boxes, and this page displays an error 'Entity too large'.  however, it only does this to the second server.  the flex log buffer overflow message also appears in the third server's log but it _does_ not show this error, as well as in the first box.

now for the barrage of questions:
this clearly is a web server error right?  
is it a configuration in the box itself?
how much is the limit of data a page can give (to the server) for the next page to process?
how do i know the amount of data a server can receive?  and,
can i modify it to be bigger?

and more importantly, how do you solve this?

comments?  i'll add more details if asked.
