Question : Resources in Windows
|
|
Hi!
I am running Windows 98 SE. I had a virus (Nimda) in September, and I re-installed Windows. (It was quite a battle, let me tell you...) Anyway, Windows has been running a little slow, and it's been doing that for a while. The system resources are at like 58%, and I was thinking this may be the reason. Is there a way to increase system resources? I don't have that many programs running in the background. The only things I have running are Norton Auto-Protect, My Mouse Software (Logitech Optical), AOL IM, MSN IM, Webshots ScreenSaver, and Weatherbug. (These are the only things that show up on the Tray...There are probably others running if I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL). Anyway, here are my Computer Stats:
AMD Duron 750 mHz Processor 384.0 MB SDRAM nVidia TNT2 Video Card - 32 MB RAM Cmedia Dolby Digital 5.1 Sound Card Linksys Ethernet Network Card 32X CD-ROM 60.0 GB Western-Digital Hard Drive
Thanks for all of your help!

Good links above. Here's one more.

Check the script when you're done. Some items you need to fill in manually, such as the cd key and a couple of options.
