Question : Urgent: Setting gradient colors in Illustrator without using RGB Spectrum
|
|
I'm a newbie to Illustrator. I need to apply a gradient color scheme to an object, but the RGB spectrum is so difficult to use because its so small! Is there any way to apply 3 specific colors as a gradient but without using the RGB spectrum color selector?
Say I need to use #A0BF95, #708668 and #F5FFF1.
Using the Color Models dialog box would be superb, but I don't know how to do that because it only selects a single color...

Hi, Rouchie,
You didn't say which version you have, so here is what I do in CS2:
(1) View the gradient pallet so you can see the beginning and ending (and intermediate) gradient stops/colors; (2) Click the gradient slider beneath the graphic representation of the gradient (bar); (3) With one of the sliders selected (you can see a tiny dot above the slider selected), double-click the coor picker in the toolbar (usually on the left). (4) With the color picker dialog up, enter whatever color hex code you need to and accept it. Or choose with the pointer.
Do this for each gradient slider you wish to affect.
Regards, Slynky
