Question : Activesyn suddenly stopped working on Exchange 2007 server

Our Activesync on our PDS's was working fine for months, then we had to put Routing and Remote Access on this server to allow the VPN to work.
Ever since all of our PDA users have been unable to access the system via Activesync.
The error on the PDA is: 0x85010018, server could not be reached.
We do not run Activesyc in SSL mode.
OWA works as normal both internally and externally.
No events in Event Viewer etc, all services ok.
We are using Windows Mobile 6/6.1
Any help much appreciated.

i am testing it with my PDA at the moment, and have done nothing different in setting it up than when i set other devices up.
So i do not think it is a proxy error.
