Question : SAVE AS Dialog box does not appear in Word
|
|
Hey guys..
Windows 2000 SP4 Office XP - Word 2002 10.2627.2625
When I try to save a document in Word, nothing happens. Save as, or regular save. Neither one actually does anything. No dialog box, no drive activiy, no file saving.
All other Office apps work normally.
I've scanned for viruses (on a network lan with autoupdating signature files) I've blown away the normal.dot I've replaced the normal.dot with a working installation I've wiped out and reinstalled Office I've even done a repair install of IE just in case it may be tied to the central dialog calls.. No macros at all.
So now, I'm stuck. No idea what else this could be.

Oh yeah the solution...
1) Back up any files that need to be saved. 2) Log in as Local Admin and Delete profile 3) Restart PC 4) Have user log in to create new profile
After doing this, the user should be able to save word doc's.
