Question : Ghost workstation with RAID Controller

Hi there,

I have just built a new Workstation (HPxw4400, 975x chipset, Intel 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller). This currently only has 1 HDD installed. I have imaged the workstation no problem using Ghost 8.

The problem is i have a second workstation i need to dump this image onto but when i boot up ghost and try to add the image it says it cannot find the HDD.

Is there a way that i can load the RAID driver before Ghost boots?

Thanks in advance,

Iain

Answer : Ghost workstation with RAID Controller

You shouldn't need the RAID drivers for Ghost to work.  there are no DOS RAID drivers for this.  That's because the OROM (Samt thing that pops up the menu) overrides the BIOS INT13 calls (the bios calls for writing to disk) to do two things: 1)Hide disks that are members of an array, and 2) Export volumes so they look like real disks.  The OROM is as close to a DOS RAID Driver as you'll come.  If my memory serves me right, you need Ghost 8.0 or above with ICH RAID volumes-- I believe previous versions have issues.
