Question : Forwarding Undeliverables via rules in outlook 2003
We have reports that are automatically sent out. The account that sends them has a mailbox on an exchange 2003 server. The idea is that whenever that box gets a 'System Undeliverable' message it forwards it to someones account to notify them. We have tried making the rules via Outlook 03 as well as the OWA to force it server side. It will not forward the Undeliverable message for some reason...any ideas? I have gone to the mail delivery settings and tried with auto forward allowd checked and unchecked.
Answer : Forwarding Undeliverables via rules in outlook 2003
Not possible. You cannot do anything with the NDRs as they are a special message type. Once they are in the mailbox that is as far as they go. Rules cannot touch them.
You also cannot have NDRs sent to public folders for the same reason.
Simon.
