Question : Very simple advertising revenue query calculation
|
|
Hi,
Am I right in thinking that if you are given a CPM rate of $0.62 for banner ads, and a $1.00 for skyscraper ads and place one of each on all pages within your website and you receive 2,000,000 page impressions a month then your advertising revenue for that month would be:
$3240 (1.62 * (2,000,000 / 1000))
First person to answer correctly gets full points! :)

>duz - You contradict LucF
Yes I do. With due respect to LucF a CPM pricing model means advertisers pay for the impressions received not the clicks. And as you noted stands for 'cost-per-thousand impressions'. It would be helpful if he returned to correct his misapprehension.
>in what way is AdSense better?
AdSense is a CPC (cost per click) model and I would definitely recommend that you try that first. It is very easy to set up, easy to monitor and you get a cheque from Google every month. I now use it exclusively to monetise clients sites.
