"...We have fixed the issue you reported in SQL Server Management Studio regarding inability to manage databases after restore/truncate operation in the upcoming SQL Server 2008 release."
Steps to reproduce:
install windows 2003 standard server
install sp1
install sql server 2005
install sql 2005 sp1
restore working database from another sql 2005 server
truncate all tables
Service account logins are domain accounts
domain account member of local administrators group on server ..."
