Question : Active Directory/Group Policy Push Down Registry setting

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding Active Directory in 2003 (not that I knew how to do this in 2000)...

There is a vaule that I would like to change for everyone's registry.  The key is already on all the XP machines but it has a value of 0 and I want to change it to 3.

Is this possible via group policy?  I tried a test one but it only lets me add the \machine\system\etc etc\key and not change a value...any suggestions?

Answer : Active Directory/Group Policy Push Down Registry setting

1.  Create a text.reg key
2.  create a batch job called reg.bat that contains the line:
           regedit text.reg
3.  Edit Default Domain Policy and go to Computer Configuration --> Windows Setting --> scripts --> Startup
4.  Add the script you just created.
5.  The registry will be entered the next time the computer is restarted.
