Question : Cloning different model computers with multiple network drivers.
How would I go about making myself a clone image of a PC (Windows, Office, AV, WSUS Settings, Hotfixes installed, member of domain) that will work on various computers of makes and models?
Most of the PC's we use are IBM / Lenovo but different models and they are either desktop or laptop.
A lot of the drivers for graphics etc we have on our network in a deploy share so we would just need the network drivers for that pc / laptop installing so we could get onto the domain to see this.
We would prefer to do this off an external hard drive or DVD but just to make life a lot easier for ourselves rather than doing everything manually.
What is the best method to do this?
Thanks
Answer : Cloning different model computers with multiple network drivers.
Use Symantec Ghost suite. It handles your needs via a bootable CD that fives network ac
cess.
You can store the images on the network server and restore via a bootable CD.
There is also clonezilla and a server related project that is open source.
I hope this helps !
