Question : PHP code not working in IIS when creating a virtual Directory

I've installed IIS 5 on my Xp machine and PHP 5.4  I can create a test php page and put it in the root of my IIS web server and it work fine.  When I create a Virtual Directory to my web site running php nothing beyound the first layer of my web page will work using php.  How can I get php to work in the entire website not just the first page of my website?  I know my php is working fine because it displays information when I put a test.php in the root of my IIS server.   Any ideas would be great.

Sorry, nothing seems to be  working for me,  I'm changing back to apache.  Closing case.
