Question : sata to ide drive clone question

Hello Experts,

I have 2 computers ( XP RRO Sp2) both with identical softwre loaded but one machine works off an ide drive the other off an sata drive. The Ide hard disk in one machine has gone down. Is it possible to clone Sata to Ide? It would save a lot of time reloading the OS and Software if it did. I have Norton Ghost 2003 but I cant get it to recognise any drive when I hook up a new ide drive to the SATA computer. I have used the -FNI switch but to no avail,

No problem cloning SATA to IDE or the reverse.  

Is the drive visible in the BIOS?  If not you may need to change some BIOS settings to allow the system to see both IDE and SATA drives.

What make/model of motherboard is in your system?
