Question : SNTP setting dosent appear to be correct.

I have a main site with all but 2 of my servers in that site and 2 remote locations each with one domain controller.
The FSMO role holder for the PDC emulator is in the main site.
If i logon to any of the servers that are in the main site and run the command "net time" it will show the name of the domain controller in California.
I can see the logon server for the a server in my main location is set to a domain controller in that site which is good and expected, however why is it that the servers in the main location seem to be picking up the server in california as the SNTP server?
I went to the PDC emulator and ran the following command to make sure the correct time servers were set.
net time /setsntp:"192.5.41.209 192.5.41.41"
Is there another way to verify this setting via a GUI interface?
I have also noticed that all the workstations are picking this up as the time server as well.
I chaeck the server in california and its NTP server is point to itself.

Answer : SNTP setting dosent appear to be correct.

Running "net time /querysntp" is only useful on the PDC, too.
A domain member will by default sync with the authenticating DC and will ignore a manually configured time server.
If you have the occasional event ID 35 source W32Time in your event log, you're OK.
